My outward travels began in 1975 when I went to East Africa with a group in my East African Studies. The course was at Humber College. In the winter we studied the two countries Kenya and Tansyinaia . It was a time that Kenyatta had unified Kenya and Idi Imin was beginning his violent rule of Uganda. .

I had been appointed official photographer for the trip. I had given notice to my workplace to go on this trip. I knew that this offer through Humber College would not be repeated again.

The deal was $823.00 for a one month trip including five days in London, England.
My guess turned out to be correct. The following year the course was offered for three weeks at $2300.00.
This was the first of three group tours that I have done in my life time.
